The Moon (With the new lens)

I had to try out another shot of the Moon with my new 70-200 f/2.8L, the difference between the quality from that and my old 75-300 was remarkable. The shot was cropped in order to show more detail.

Saturn

Two shots of Saturn from my backyard this evening. I attached my camera to a Meade 2080 telescope. It was hard as hell to focus, so the images are a little blurry while I get used to trying to focus the telescope.

Milky Way Overhead

Milky Way Overhead

The Milky Way overhead at the cottage in the early fall. Similar to the other recent astrophotography posts I’ve done, the camera was piggy backing on a telescope on an equatorial mount and using a sidereal drive so that the picture frame follows the stars and no star trails are formed.
